One of the latest additions to our Lomography collection is the
Lubitel 166+, an irresistible twin lens medium format film camera.
Based on the Soviet-era classic and a design that dates back over 60 years, the Lubitel 166+ has been updated with numerous stunning new features, including the ability to shoot both medium format and 35mm film (see the rest of the list below).
With its "
fully manual everything [and] fully automatic nothing" you get to stare into the waist-level finder and play with a myriad of analog settings that make up an exciting experience. The results are sharp, crispy and grand, mixed with the occasional -
but welcome - random, vibrant and vignetted shots. Everything a Lomographer expects and more!
The classic features reproduced are:
- Multicoated glass lens
- Lightweight and affordable plastic body

- 35mm format (including taking images with exposed sprocket holes!)
