Inspiration | Rocha's Home in the South of France

Today we stumbled upon fashion designer John Rocha's incredible South of France home. When we saw it we knew we had to share it with you.

Filled with clean lines, open space, modern furnishings and a luxurious yet bohemian feel, there is nothing over or under done about it. Simplicity reigns.

Lomography's Lubitel 166+

One of the latest additions to our Lomography collection is the Lubitel 166+, an irresistible twin lens medium format film camera.

Based on the Soviet-era classic and a design that dates back over 60 years, the Lubitel 166+ has been updated with numerous stunning new features, including the ability to shoot both medium format and 35mm film (see the rest of the list below).

With its "fully manual everything [and] fully automatic nothing" you get to stare into the waist-level finder and play with a myriad of analog settings that make up an exciting experience. The results are sharp, crispy and grand, mixed with the occasional - but welcome - random, vibrant and vignetted shots. Everything a Lomographer expects and more!

The classic features reproduced are:
  • Multicoated glass lens
  • Lightweight and affordable plastic body
  • Fully manual controls
  • Top down viewfinder enclosed by a pop-up metal hood
  • Standard cable release and tripod thread

New and improved features:
  • 35mm format (including taking images with exposed sprocket holes!)
  • Endless panorama format - shoot a stream of images with no space between frames
  • Improved viewfinder with glass covering 100 of the image
  • Closer focus, down to 0.8m
  • Easy zone focus mode, with distance settings of 0.8 m, 1.5 m, 3 m, and infinity
  • Two on-camera exposure guides - one aperture priority & one shutter-priority
  • Standard hot shoe with X-sync
  • Ability to rewind 120 roll before end of roll
Available in store and online.
